Patricia Ruiz

Patricia is a sensitivity reader with a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and also serves as an assistant editor at American Short Fiction. She has taught university-level writing and literature, and worked with a variety of publishers and literary festivals. Fluent in Spanish, English, German, French, and Brazilian Portuguese, Patricia specializes in sensitivity reading and translation support, helping writers represent diverse voices with accuracy and care. In her spare time, she enjoys literary fiction and a good cup of coffee.
